General Teaching Style

My main goal is to have the student learn new ideas about music and slowly get better at their instrument. I'm a fun teacher, not very strict unless I need to be.

Curriculum

Faber, Alfred's, Bastien for basic piano songs. For guitar and ukelele, Hal Leonard. I put my own materials together for the students as well, including songs they wish to learn.

Focus & Goals of the First Lesson

In the first lesson, I will get to know the student's personality and interests. I'll have them play something for me (if they can play at all). Based on what they know already, I'll begin addressing their areas of musical interest and assign some kind of homework, usually a song.

Most Inspirational Music Moments and Experiences

I enjoy receiving notes from my students telling me they want to "be in my class forever" and things like that. I also enjoy jamming and making music with close friends.

Clear and Patient Teacher

Aman's strengths lie in explaining concepts clearly and patiently. He takes the time to demonstrate the same idea in different ways so the student understands it. His primary goal is to make the lessons fun for the student.
