This is a cool sounding way to play a I to IV progression. The right hand is using 9ths and 13ths on the dominant 7th chords with the smoothest motion possible. (some of the notes are staying the same and others only move a short distance as the chord changes).

Catalina has worked very hard since the Dueling Pianos Student Recital! She has taken control of her lesson time and is really focused on learning new songs and reading!
Colin has had a blast reading new songs out of his Nightmare Before Christmas book by Tim Burton. Colin is currently working on looking at the music and reading the notes. He’s doing great though, and he learns very quickly.
Dexter did a great job playing this song. We added drums to make it more exciting. The drums also forced Dexter to make sure there were no hiccups in his piano playing and he made sure to count each measure of very well. He did a great job!
